Merger with St. Luke's Health System
Idaho Cardiology Associates, P.A. is pleased to announce that we have joined together with St. Luke's Health System, allowing us to expand our resources to better meet the health care needs of our patients. This new arrangement means patients can expect the same high quality of care they have been receiving, along with the added benefit of St. Luke's nationally recognized expertise in heart and vascular care and research. Unless patients choose to transfer care from one cardiologist to another, this new arrangement will not affect patients' relationship with their current cardiologist.
Under the terms of our new agreement, on October 1, 2007 St. Luke's will acquire Idaho Cardiology Associates and employ the majority of ICA physicians and staff members, creating St. Luke's Idaho Cardiology Associates.
ICA's current telephone numbers and web site will remain the same. The address for future correspondence/billing is:
St. Luke's Idaho Cardiology Associates
P.O. Box 110
Boise, ID 83701-0110
ICA physicians will continue to practice at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center, St. Luke's Meridian Medical Center, West Valley Medical Center and St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. We will also continue to see patients at our Jefferson Street Clinic office in downtown Boise, our Eagle Road office in the St. Luke's Meridian Medical Center, and at our Elm Street office adjacent to West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell. Regional clinics in Ontario, Baker City. LaGrande, Weiser, McCall and Sun Valley will also continue.
Four ICA physicians (Dr. Badke, Dr. Parent, Dr. Seale & Dr. Writer) along with a number of staff members, have elected to affiliate with Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center and are not participating in the group's agreement with St. Luke's. These physicians will continue to see clinic patients at the Curtisian clinic location on the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center campus, and prefer to limit their hospital practice solely to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. The name of their new group is Idaho Heart Care, and their new telephone number is (208) 367-HART (4278).
